Halloween dinner

I decided to freak my kids out a little yesterday by making black noodles for dinner. You can either use food coloring to dye spaghetti or purchase black rice noodles. I purchased them from HEB Market Street and the package looks like this:



Then I made Green Smoothie Girl's lentil black olive sauce for the noodles that I called beetle bug sauce. You could just as easily use spaghetti sauce, it would save you a lot of grief and the children would enjoy it much better. Just my hunch (maybe because it happened at my house. If love is a battle field, so is dinner!!) The final result looked like this:
