Quick and easy
This idea came from my friend Laura, who is a cake extraordinaire. I need to feed a lot of kids but didn't want to spend a lot so Laura gave me this giant cookie idea. This is what you'll need:
1 batch of sugar cookie dough ( I bought already made for $1.77 at Walmart)
Powdered sugar
Water
Sprinkles
Spread cookie dough on a cookie sheet. It doesn't matter if you get finger indentations on the dough because it will rise in the oven and they'll disappear. Bake at 350F for 10 - 12 minutes, or according to directions on the package.
Pour about 1 cup of powdered sugar in a mixing bowl. Add a couple of table spoons of water; mix. The glaze should be the consistency of thick pancake batter. My thoughts always return to pancakes.... hmmmm ;o) Spread over the cookie and decorate with sprinkles. You can also use other decorations like shredded coconut, sliced almonds, chocolate chips etc.
